I'm not sure there's much that needs to be said about this 1:19 slab of grinding perfection:
- Benümb was one of my favorite grindcore/powerviolence bands.
- Nine times out of 10, if I'm listening to Benümb, I'm listening to Soul of the Martyr.
- For my money, "Struggle On" has been a longtime highlight of their discography.
File this one under "The Greatest Breakdowns in the History of All Living Things," 'cause the way the track shifts from relentless, bludgeoning blasts to that hammering midpaced break at 41 seconds in is completely and totally flawless on every level.
Pure violence.
