Bleeding Edge is a new project led by former Epidemic vocalist Carl Fulli, also featuring Scott Sargeant (Skinlab, Lååz Rockit, Wrekking Machine, etc.) on guitar/bass, Lennon Lopez from Incite on drums, and additional guitar leads contributed by members of Hatriot and By Any Means Necessary. It's not uncommon for me to check out such efforts with a certain degree of tempered expectations, but I have to say, this is quite strong. Carl's vocals are as powerful as ever, perfectly walking that death/thrash borderline; and this first single is musically aggressive, moderately fast-paced thrash metal with furious yet melody-tinged lead bursts, as well as some crunchy mid-paced breaks.
