I haven't been listening to much new music lately, but a three-song demo from Singaporean trio Hrvst crossed my path and happened to hit the spot, so here we are...
They're calling it a "demo," but Fortress. seems like a perfectly fine debut EP to me (this track was also released as a single from the sessions last summer)—cranking out less than 10 minutes of occasionally sludgy, at times caustic metalcore that draws upon a range of quality influences from within the past couple of decades of the genre.
