Another fantastic melodic hardcore act from Boston. Somewhat comparable to their neighbors in Spirits (in fact, the same friend that hipped me to Spirits introduced me to Kimachi, too): traditionally-rooted hardcore with an emphatic sense of melody, though Kimachi boasts a metallic edge that occasionally borders on a vaguely discordant '90s style that's still grounded by memorable, energetic songwriting. And it's awesome.
In a sea of misdirected hype, Kimachi is yet another hardcore band that really should be getting a lot more attention. Nowhere to Run is their third EP since last summer (all available as name your price downloads via Bandcamp), so I hope they maintain this level of productivity (and start to pick up some well-deserved interest along the way).
