Time? Energy? Motivation?

I'm waaaaaay the fuck behind. Hopefully I'll get it together next week...

Marty James is a fucking genius. I've neglected to declare this fact here on the site for far too long.

  2. Have you heard One Block Radius as well?  That the dude’s not a millionaire yet is fucking ridiculous.  Seriously.  And the songs they’ve done videos for (I think these are the only two?) PALE in comparison to his finest moments…  Love that shit.  I’ve tried to follow as much of that dude’s shit as I can for the last 5 - 6 years.

  3. andrew, you need to check out dälek, sensational, subtitle, etc. for some real alternative rap shit.

  4. I don’t really look at Scapegoat Wax or One Block Radius as “alternative rap” at all.  Not sure what the hell I’d call ‘em, but… I’m not really looking for “alternative rap” with their work at all, ha…

  6. When I get time I’ll still check out all that stuff, definitely…

  7. i know, i’m just sayin’. since you’re obviously not averse to rap shit, why not broaden your horizons by some more “challenging” stuff, that is to rap what the music you normally listen to is to a normal listener. or something like that, you get the drift. try dälek’s “absence”, for starters. if starkweather, dave witte, etc. have him as a friend on myspace, it can’t be that bad. plus, his remix on knut’s “alter” is the type of music i could listen to all day long.

  8. Andrew has probably too many music to review, check or whatever. and too much recommendations from people. give him some time ; )

  9. The Second video is incredibly edited. The music aint my thing.  i like dalek and sage francis and shit like that, i’m not into “happy” hip-hop. But the editing for the video is amazing. It looks like a simple idea but it must have been very carefully planned.

  10. Naw mang, you want hip hop? check out The Shapeshifters, Immortal Technique, and Jedi Mind Tricks (Theres more but those are just off the top of my head). As for Sage Francis….eh…sorry but I’m into that dude at all. The Shapeshifters, I suppose, could be considered “happy hip-hop” (lame title, by the way) but they’re just fuckin out there with their shit e.x. check out their songs, Pindar, Message for yer Planet, and Creye Inn along with Circuit City.(All of which on their self-title cd, I think, although I could be wrong) As for the other two; there’s absolutely nothing happy about them. But for me the beats are where it’s at.

  12. I am listenning to One Bloc Radius but I’m not really into this kind of mix between soul and rap. It’s nice and still way better than most of the stuff on the radio. I’ll listen to the whole thing anyway. However, I highly recommand Dalek. Have seen them four times lives already and they were awesome, very powerful. Met the MC too and he was really cool so I really have no complain about them. Definitly one of the best rap band around right now from what I’ve heard.
